George Corradino has a Master’s degree in psychological counseling and is a licensed professional counselor. He obtained his B.A. and M.A. from Monmouth University. He completed a clinical externship at Riverview Medical Center as a part of their in-patient psychiatric unit on the Lower Level One of the Jane Booker Pavilion. During this time he worked with a variety of psychiatric conditions such as bipolar disorder, major depression, schizophrenia, anxiety disorder and MICA patients conducting intake and facilitating group therapy.

At NRS/LS, he provides individual mental health counseling, neuropsychological testing and biofeedback for a variety of conditions, including, but not limited to, anxiety, pain disorders, ADHD and anger management.

In addition to testing and biofeedback, Mr. Corradino also works with patients dealing with the effects of head injury. Specifically, he administers cognitive remediation focusing on the rehabilitation of memory, attention, concentration and reasoning for this population. He asserts the importance of proper, evidence based cognitive remediation and the integral part it plays in a multidisciplinary approach to recovery.

Although cognitive-behavior therapy is primarily used in counseling, Mr. Corradino is eclectic in his approach and finds it beneficial to use a wide variety of therapeutic interventions and techniques.
