Dr. Lauren Gashlin received her Doctor of Psychology degree (Psy.D.) from Chestnut Hill College (CHC), accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). During the course of training, Dr. Gashlin accumulated treatment and assessment experience with children and adults in a variety of settings. She received an Outstanding Community Service Award through the Pennsylvania Psychological Association as a co-presenter in the workshop series, Bridging the Gap: “Mindfully” Relieving Pain in Older Adults. For her dissertation research, she partnered with Monmouth Medical Center to examine the recovery from postpartum mood and anxiety conditions. She completed her predoctoral internship through the CHC Consortium, conducting comprehensive psychological assessments at the Psychological Services Clinic of CHC and co-training with medical residents through the Lehigh Valley Family Medicine Residency Program.

To further specialize in clinical health psychology, Dr. Gashlin completed her postdoctoral training at NRS/LifeSpan. Here, she trained under the supervision of Drs. Sica and Greco in conducting psychological, psychological pain, and presurgical examinations for individuals of all ages. She treats patients with both emotional and medical conditions to effectively treat the whole person (mind and body) and help patients adjust to medical diagnoses. In patients with stress-based conditions, Dr. Gashlin often utilizes biofeedback to help patients better understand the body’s response to stress and learn strategies for managing stress.

Dr. Gashlin is also an adjunct professor in the Department of Psychology at Monmouth University where she previously graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
