Dr. Steven P. Greco is a board-certified neuropsychologist and partner at Neuropsychology Rehabilitation Services/LifeSpan. In addition, Dr. Greco is a clinical assistant professor at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Seton Hall-Hackensack Medical. Dr. Greco treats a variety of neuropsychological conditions, such as, the spectrum of traumatic brain injury, dementia, cerebral tumors, CVAs, demyelinating diseases, ADHD, learning disabilities, seizure disorders, etc. Dr. Greco is also involved in forensic evaluations (plaintiff and defense), independent educational neuropsychological evaluations, etc. Treatment includes assessment, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of the above neuropsychological conditions.
Dr. Greco graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Monmouth University. Upon graduation, Dr. Greco completed a Master’s degree in Psychological Studies at Seton Hall University. He then pursued his doctoral training in counseling psychology at Seton Hall University accredited by the American Psychological Association. Dr. Greco graduated with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, Summa Cum Laude.
Dr. Greco completed a clinical rotation at JFK Hospital in Edison, NJ. Dr. Greco worked as a neuropsychometrician in both the inpatient (acute brain conditions) as well as in the outpatient rehabilitation program. Dr. Greco examined a variety of neuropsychological conditions, including but not limited to, traumatic brain injury, stroke, dementia, ADHD, and learning disability.
Dr. Greco completed his one-year, pre-doctoral internship at Jersey Shore University Medical Center (JSUMC), approved by the American Psychological Association. At the hospital, Dr. Greco completed the following clinical rotations: outpatient counseling, psychological and neuropsychological outpatient assessments, crisis screening and placement, and in-patient consultations.
In 2014, Dr. Greco became a board-certified neuropsychologist through the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology. Further, he is a fellow of The American College of Professional Neuropsychology and on staff at Jersey Shore University Medical Center (JSUMC), a member of the Hackensack Meridian Health Care System, as a consulting neuropsychologist.
Dr. Greco has published and presented on a national level and has been a guest speaker at numerous professional events, including presenting at Pediatric Grand Rounds at Riverview Medical Center and Jersey Shore University Medical Center and St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, NJ. Some of the most recent presentations included: Sports Related Concussion Management, Neuropsychology and Cognitive Rehabilitation for brain tumor patients, Treatment for the Learning Disabled-ADHD Child and Family, and Overview of Neuropsychology and its application to various diagnostic groups.
